Last year, when I was working full time, I had this HUGE sense of guilt. For leaving my girls everyday with a sitter and expecting them to figure out plans on their own. I started a list on my phone of things I wanted to take them to do. Well, it goes without saying, I didn't get to all of them. It reminds me of that post on social media that says something like, "June Mom, lets go to the library, beach, bowling, July Mom, go to your room!".
I was talking to a friend and she mentioned that we only have eight summers left with our oldest. Well, thanks a lot Phoebe! HA! This has really put things in perspective for me, especially since quitting my job. I feel this sense of, not urgency, but sense that I have to plan ahead so that I maximize the time and making the memories I hope my girls have as adults.
This year I decided it would be the summer of YES! I have added, from last year, more things to do on my list, and I am sharing it with you today. If you have more ideas, message me!

When I said this is the summer of "YES" that means if at all possible, I tell my girls YES! So far we have had an awesome summer and we only have a few more weeks left!
I am a newly "retired" wife and mom of two girls. I spent the past, almost ten years, in aesthetics working with practices of all specialties and sizes, helping them grow their businesses. I have decided to briefly retire and focus on my family and home. We were one of the many families devastated by Hurricane Harvey. We are in the "home stretch" and have only a few more weeks until we are finished with rebuilding.
State of the Home
As I have told everyone along the way, the Kiershes will be better tomorrow than we are today. This still holds true!
